MC’s Helmut Holzer and James Corwell attended the ASYMCA Alaska Salute to the Military

A note from MC Helmut Holzer:

This annual event is held to salute the military and all there branches for their service and achievements! 

The Fundraiser helps the YMCA Alaska help our service woman and man with emergency funds in case of hardships.

For myself and MC Corwell, we had the opportunity to give our show of appreciation for their service, by sharing our vast knowledge and work with the troops.

We had 10 stations serving 300 tasting portions each for 450 attendees! 

All the food was based on Alaska and the native people, things like Salmon Berries harvested in the arctic circle- Huckleberries- Salmon – Black Cod – Wild Game.

Each station had the support of Enlisted Aids as well as Airman. The Airforce team members had the opportunity to work from start to finish.

In recognition of their culinary accomplishments from AMCO, the group was presented with AMCO certificates of participation.

The guest of Honor were:

Charles Flint 4 Star General, Senator Lisa Murkowski and, Three star Generals from Airforce etc. 

It’s one of the top events in Alaska!
