Master Chef Lawrence McFadden earned the Certified Master Chef title in 2001.
Career highlights:
- Chef McFadden’s impressive 40-year career spans roles in America, Hong Kong, and Singapore, including iconic properties such as The Greenbrier, Waldorf Astoria, MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, The Ritz-Carlton Company, and The Shangri-La Hotels.
- His career began in the kitchens of the famous Greenbrier Hotel as an apprentice after completing an Associate’s Culinary Degree.
- During his 25-year tenure in the kitchen, he achieved Olympic membership, the CMC designation, an Honorary Doctorate, and numerous recognitions.
- He was the first American Chef to attain the position of Corporate Chef at The Ritz-Carlton. Later, he held corporate roles with MGM and Shangri-La Hotels. More recently, he served as the General Manager/COO at the Union Club in the private club sector, earning the Mel Rex Award for Top City Club GM in the Nation in 2020.
- Currently, he works as a Search & Consulting Executive for KOPPLIN KUEBLER & WALLACE and serves as the Executive in Charge of the Club Leadership Alliance Food & Beverage Experience Network.
